Uploading a file
At Cutr, we value the collaboration of our Production Partners in woodworking projects. That’s why it is now possible as a Production Partner to seamlessly contribute files to orders, accelerating file approvals, and improving overall project efficiency. How does it work?
Step 1: Log In
Log in to your dedicated Cutr Production Partner account.
Step 2: Access Project Details
Navigate to the specific project for which you need to upload a (technical) drawing.
Step 3: Click "Upload File"
Go to the Files tab on the left and click the "Upload File" button.
Step 4: Select Your File
Choose the file you want to upload from your device by clicking on the little arrow below 'File'.
Step 5: Provide Relevant Details (Optional)
Include any pertinent details or notes about the file to assist our team during the review process. For example:
Adjustments you made to the customer file
Any important details on specific dimensions
Etc.
Step 6: Submit
Click "Upload File" to upload your file directly to the project.
Please note: by clicking ‘submit’, you will directly make these drawings and notes visible to the customer.
Uploading a revision
Did a customer reject or leave feedback on a production drawing? Then it is necessary to upload a revision of the drawing. Below you can read how this works.
Step 1: Log In
Log in to your dedicated Cutr Production Partner account.
Step 2: Access Project Details
Navigate to the specific project for which you need to upload a revision.
Step 3: Click on the File
Select the file that you need to upload a revision for (most likely the file that says 'rejected').
Step 4: Click on 'Upload Revision'
Go to the right side of your screen and click on the 'Upload revision' button to upload your updated file.
Step 5: Continue like a usual
Continue the upload process like you would when you upload a new file. Don't forget to add the things that changed to the 'Notes' when uploading and submitting the new file.
Reviewing a file
Sometimes customers adjust their design files during production. When this happens, they will upload it to the platform for you to review. Below is described how you can review the file and approve or reject it.
Step 1: Log In
Log in to your dedicated Cutr Production Partner account.
Step 2: Access Project Details
Navigate to the specific project for which you need to contribute files.
Step 3: File Review
Click on the file that needs approval from your side. You can now check the file thoroughly and see if there are no errors for production.
Step 4: File approval
Once you’ve reviewed the file, you can leave notes and either reject or accept the file. Once you accept the file, this will be the source of truth and what should be produced by you.
Please note: your comments will directly be visible to the customer and not just to Cutr.
Understanding File Labels
Pending: Your uploaded file is awaiting approval from our team or the customer.
Approved: The file has been accepted and is now an integral part of the project.
Rejected: If the file is declined, our team will provide guidance and next steps.
Needs approval: There is a customer file waiting for you to review and approve.
