With Cutr’s calling feature, you can call your production partner, your customer, or Cutr directly from an order. Unlike calling outside the platform, every call is automatically transcribed, summarised, and saved in the order. That way, decisions, agreements, and context stay in one place and remain visible to everyone working on the project. In this article, you’ll learn how the calling feature works, where to find the summary, and what exactly is recorded.

1. Why call through Cutr?

On many projects, coordination happens through separate phone calls. It’s fast, but one thing often gets lost: documentation inside the order.

Calling through Cutr gives you:

  • Direct access to the right person, without hunting for phone numbers

  • No manual note-taking, because the call is automatically transcribed and summarised

  • Everything in one place, so your team can follow along and nothing gets missed

This means fewer misunderstandings, one consistent order-specific number, and a complete communication history per project—all inside Cutr.

2. How to place a call from an order

  1. Open the order you want to call from.

  2. Click the green call button in the top-right.

  3. Select the person you want to call.

  4. Call the number shown on the screen.

The call runs through an order-specific number, so you don’t need to exchange private or company phone numbers to reach someone. The details are pulled directly from the platform.

3. Where to find the summary

After the call ends, the summary is saved automatically in the order:

  1. Go to the order

  2. Open Messages (in the left-hand menu)

  3. You’ll see the call summary appear directly in the thread, alongside the other messages

4. What gets saved?

Cutr doesn’t store “separate notes” you still need to type yourself. Everything is generated automatically and linked to the correct order.

What you’ll see in the order:

  • A transcript (text version) of the call

  • A short summary with the key points

  • Any agreements / next steps that can be extracted from the conversation
