Introduction
Keeping your production timelines aligned with the customer is now easier than ever. With Cutr’s new Production Timeline Management, you can view, edit, and track all project milestones all in one place.
No more back-and-forth emails or separate Excel planning. Everything happens directly in the Cutr platform order page.
How to set up and manage the timeline
Go to your “My active orders” tab and then your order page.
Open your order “project” page.
If this is your first time accessing the order:
You’ll be prompted to set up a timeline within 3 days of receiving the order, and if Kick off call is needed, you will be prompted to setup and confirm your availability for the virtual call
If a kickoff has already taken place, you need to fill in the milestones timeline (milestones will be pre-filled while creating)
Add or adjust milestones as needed:
Choose from standard events (e.g. measure-up, production drawing approvals, delivery date)
Or add custom steps relevant to your order assigned
[important] Mark milestones as completed once done. This keeps everyone aligned. In case if the milestones are not marked as completed, customer will get notification that the milestone is delayed.
Update dates when plans shift. Cutr and the customer are automatically notified whenever timeline is updated.
What you need to know
Timeline setup is expected on every order.
Orders without a kickoff still require you to fill in the planning within 3 days of assignment.
Some milestones are pre-filled, others are optional.
You can skip non-relevant steps, like installation, if they’re not part of your scope.
You can create your own planning steps.
For example, multiple deliveries, batch production dates, or internal prep tasks.
Delays or updates will trigger automatic notifications.
Everyone involved in the project (including the customer) is kept in the loop.
You can mark events complete manually.
This is useful for real-time tracking and status clarity.
